The ABB VTR 214 Martine Turbocharger is a high-performance axial flow turbocharger specifically engineered for marine diesel engines. It integrates a single-stage axial flow turbine with a centrifugal compressor, delivering efficient air compression and optimized engine performance. The turbocharger is equipped with a self-contained lubrication system featuring externally supported roller bearings and shaft-end centrifugal or gear-driven lubricating oil pumps, ensuring reliable operation and reduced maintenance needs.
1.Flexible Installation: Main shell rotatable in 15° or 30° intervals for adaptable installation angles.
2.Wide Operating Range: Flow rate: 0.5–18 m³/s; Compression ratio: 2.0–4.0.
3.Broad Power Compatibility: Supports engines from 250 kW to 10,000 kW, including twostroke and fourstroke types.
4.High Efficiency: Total efficiency: up to 62%; Compressor: 80%; Turbine: 82%.
5.Robust Bearing System: Externally supported roller bearings with selfcontained lubrication for durability.
6.Customizable Air Intake: Optional watercooled or noncooled air intake housing.
7.Consistent Blade Design: Stable turbine blade height and nozzle ring area for consistent performance.
8.High Pressure Ratio: Maximum pressure ratio of 4.0, ideal for heavy fuel oil applications.
